Shaun Edwardes (Executive Producer, Project 30 USA Album Project)

Shaun Edwardes began his career in the recording studio business in the United Kingdom before moving into the production side of the industry, where he toured throughout the world for five years coordinating the production for major recording artists. In 1989, he took on project management duties for Julee Cruise, David Lynch, and Angelo Badalamenti’s "Twin Peaks." The record won both a Grammy and a Brit Award for Best Soundtrack and garnered over 20 top-ten positions in music charts around the world.

Edwardes relocated to Dallas, Texas in 1993 where he became an important player in the development of the thriving Southwest music community, as well as a respected source of talent for major labels. In 1996, he was hired as General Manager of Last Beat, Inc. a large production facility in Dallas, where he increased revenue by a multiple of 10, and established the company as a major force in the southwest music industry. His foray into technology began when he worked jointly with broadcast.com [formerly audionet.com), a business neighbor in Dallas, to stream some of the earliest live concerts on the Web.

In 1998, Edwardes was invited by Nick Gatfield (former President of Polygram Music US, and currently MD of Universal/Island Records UK) to become a partner in The Gated Group, an entertainment business-consulting firm based in Los Angeles. While there, he championed the successful incubation of a software company, VoxSurf Software International Ltd., now based in the UK. In 2000, under The Gated Group, he began working with Corbin Bernsen (LA Law, Major League movies) in the early stages of development of Public Media Works, a new media production company. Edwardes played an integral role in creating the business model and overseeing Public Media Works’ day-to-day operations, business development, producing TV and film products and ultimately taking the company public.

Edwardes was invited by Michelle Seward to come on board as a consultant to this project to help guide the production of this product and interface with the entertainment industry.

Edwardes currently resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife and two children.
